All Assur O’Poil cat breeds – Pixie-bob
. History and origins
The Pixie-Bob is a recent breed of cat, which originated in the United States.
In 1985 in Washington State, breeder Carol Ann Brewer collects a lynx-like cat. She goes in search of another cat who looks similar, and eventually finds Keba and Maggie. This breeder allowed a mating between a polydactyl cat (number of fingers higher than the norm) and a small bobcat Bobcat, which gives birth to Pixie-Bob cats with a spotted coat.
They were officially recognized by TICA in 1998, an important American feline federation.
Your miniature lynx is strongly reminiscent of an atypical lynx.
. Character and competencies
The Pixie-Bob has a tender and lazy attitude contrary to what the look of the wild hunter suggests. He is very smart and goes fast with family members.
He is an incredibly strong cat, a force of nature! Although unrelated to lynxes, it retains great energy, which is why rural life seems more suited to it, to offer it large spaces for play in nature.
The Pixie-Bob is a low-maintenance cat.
